Meditations Guide

Taoist Meditation

Taoist meditation has many thing common between the Hindu and Buddhism system of practices. Taoist meditation is far more down to the earth in comparison with other Meditation practices that are evolved in India.

The key point of Taoist meditation system is creation, modification, transformation and circulation of internal energies of the human being.

The major steps in Taoist meditation are:

  1. Calmness
  2. Concentration

Calmness refers to keeping yourself still, quiet and cool at the time of meditation and concentrating attention to your inward senses.

It has been obviously realized in Taoist Meditation practice is that at the time of practicing, mind becomes very uncooperative, the emotional level and the feeling of self being starts fighting with the higher forces of spiritual awareness and that makes difficult to practice such meditation practices.

But the regular practice makes the things happen and with the help of certain guidelines and few dedicated steps it becomes possible and easier.

  • Start concentrating on your breathe streaming in and out through the nostril and starts realizing the energy between the brows.

  • Start realizing and paying attention on the expansion and contraction of your abdomen and feel the rising and falling level of the Naval.

  • Start focusing on the geometric meditation picture or flame of a candle, firstly focus on the centre of the flame, shifting towards the edge of the picture or flame with the peripheral vision.
