Meditation and Depression

It has always been being a subjects of research that meditation has any cure for depressed person or not, especially for those depression which is caused by the chemical imbalances.

But now it has been calculated that the meditation is one of the most important method to cure the depression problem, whether the depression is situational caused by external events or organic which is caused by chemical imbalances in the brain.

Results from the research of many meditation practitonars have proved that these meditation practices provides the great support.

 But still there are some meditations which are not useful to those who have the tendency to experience depression, and those are mentioned in the MeditationsGuide.com other sections in detail. The Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana practices however, are certainly useful for everyone to practice.

In fact the Metta Bhavana practice is highly recommended for those who experience depression.

And it is also recommended to not to meditate when you are experiencing an extreme bout of depression it is probably not a good idea to try to meditate.
