Concentrative Meditations

Meditations Guide Classifies Meditation Techniques in to two categories. All the meditations, meditations techniques and the Yoga revolve around these two categories.

In the Concentrative meditation the Meditation practitioners’ Concentrates his attention and consciousness on certain definitive elements like on ones’ breathe along with any image or pays his concentration on sound so called Mantras. The objective of such concentration is to still the body and the mind in higher awareness and on the clarity to realize the inner self by forgetting the consciousness of worldly imaginations.

Meditation Practices

This concentrative meditation is done by sitting idle and quietly and focusing the attention on the breath and other entities described above. In such Meditation practice the direct correlation between one’s own breath and one’s own mind state is established thus eradicating the anxiousness, frightenings, agitations and distraction of the body and the thoughts.

Concentrative meditation is the best way to meditate, and it is a way that we can use most frequently.

Meditations Structures

Start by getting a relax able position in which to sit, the purpose is just to feel free rather than to go for sleep, and trying to preserve a state of listening carefully in which the body doesn’t cause any distractions. Choose a calm place, and practice for 5 - 30 minutes once or twice in a day, starting with the minimum time to feel for. This exercise is for the mind, just like as the jogging or the weight lifting is the exercise for the body. Both will start making you feel good if done regularly for short periods and starts increasing the time for relatively longer period.

Main Objectives of Meditation
We select an object and concentrate on that object in concentrative Mediation. The four major things on which we have to concentrate is our breath, a mental image, a physical object, and a word or the phrase.

Breath - In this meditation we just follow and realize our breath and don’t think any thing, only take care on your breathe.
 
Mental Image - In this meditation you select any mental image and just focus on it.

Physical Object - This is like to using a mental image, apart from which we choose a physical object on which to think on.

Word or Phrase - In this concentration you pick a word or phrase and repeat it over and over while concentrating on it’s meaning.

Conclusion

This form of meditation is one of the most important tools that we can use in our personal development efforts. That simply affects of our personality.
